What does it mean when a product is 3D-printed?

3D printing (also called additive manufacturing) is a process where an object is built layer by layer using durable plastic material. Unlike mass-produced, injection-molded products, each 3D-printed item is individually created, giving it a unique, handcrafted quality.

Why do some 3D-printed items show visible lines or textures?

The “layer lines” you see are a natural part of the 3D printing process. Each layer bonds to the next, creating strength and durability. These lines are a sign that the product was carefully printed rather than mass-produced in a factory.

Are 3D-printed products durable?

Yes. We use high-quality PETG for most of our products (unless otherwise specified). This plastic is chosen for its strength, heat resistance, and flexibility, making it suitable for everyday use.

How should I clean my 3D-printed item?

Hand wash gently with warm water and mild soap. Avoid putting items in the dishwasher or exposing them to extremely high heat unless specifically stated in the product description.

Can 3D-printed products be used outdoors?

Many of our products are printed in PETG, which is heat and UV-resistant and performs well in outdoor environments. However, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures may affect color over time.

How long does it take to ship my order?

Most orders ship within 1-2 business days.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we don't ship internationally directly from dads3d.com. However, our products sold on Etsy and eBay take advantage of their international shipping programs that still allows you to order our products but the international portion of the logistics is handled by Etsy and eBay, respectively.

Do you accept returns on 3D-printed products?

Yes, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not fully satisfied, you can return your item within 30 days of delivery. Custom or personalized items may not be eligible.

Do your products come with a warranty?

All of our products come with a 1-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Normal wear and tear is not covered.

Can you make a custom design for me?

Absolutely! If you have an idea for a product that doesn’t exist yet, or want modifications to one of our current designs, contact us through our Contact Form and we’ll be happy to discuss a solution.

What if I see a product I like but want it in a different color?

Many of our products can be printed in multiple colors. Check the product page for available options, or contact us directly for custom color requests.
